Sometimes you just need to connect with someone who has lived through the experience and understands on a personal level.
Sometimes you just need reassurance that you have the support necessary to heal or help others heal.
Offering 1:1 or group coaching* services to provide lived experience strategies and support to those personally experiencing postpartum mental illness (or other forms of anxiety/depression), as well as those in supporting roles.
I hold a BSc. in Psychology, am a published author of a book on the topic of postpartum mental health (Unapologetic Truths: The Realities of Postpartum We Don’t Talk About ), and have personal experience overcoming severe postpartum anxiety, depression and psychosis. All of which allow me to provide a unique approach to coaching and support.
I strive to educate individuals and their support systems on strategies to assist with the journey to recovery, ways to build resiliency, feel empowered, connected and confident, as well as discussing the roles of relationships, misconceptions and hindering processes that can affect recovery.
My aim is to help individuals break free of the gripping hold that negative self-perceptions, judgements, and criticisms can hold, and teach individuals and their support systems how to effectively regain their sense of self and gain success in their roles, respectively.
